Kahu is checking out the water, and Popoki is checking out the red head. Goin' Swimmin'! said Popoki. Aikane replied, "Oh Yea! Akaine's on the rock just out of sight, as Kahu observes what's going on. ![]() <>Popoki said, "Come on. Well, come on!" Kahu shot him a glance, but didn't budge. She appeared to be ignoring him! hmmmmm........Maybe she just wants to watch.
(Kahu blinked just as the camera snapped
their picture)
![]() (It can be very
hard to
photograph swimming birds)
........this is Aikane's bath........ It was sort of like, well, let me show ya how ...........ya do it like this, ... and he jumped in with both feet! Bobbing his little head, wings just a-flappin'! (He kept stopping to look up at Kahu, so, I chirped in several, "Whoooo - Weeeee"'s just to inspire him.) Then Aikane followed suit, and washed every feather. (Yep, I Whooo-Weee'd for her too.) Then I announced, "Kahu's turn."
(You could have cut the silence with a knife) Both birds quit singing and jabbering too. ![]() I
could have sworn she said, "This is for the birds!"
.........
Don't think Kahu shares the same enthusiasm! Looks a tad reluctant, doesn't she?!? Aloha, Love and
Laughter
